BCDHA and CDA ALLIANCE STATEMENT ON THE PROPOSED BCCOHP BYLAWS

by | Apr 28, 2022 | Advocacy, Featured, Latest, Policy

We are currently reviewing the draft Bylaws released on April 26, 2022 by the future BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP).

Like many of you, we are alarmed by much of the content.

If you have reviewed the Bylaws please forward your concerns to info@bcdha.com as soon as possible.

We are in the process of developing a full list of ‘issues’ that we see with these Bylaws and once that is complete, we will share it with members and ask you to write your own letter to send to government, detailing everything you find unacceptable in the Bylaws.

To assist you with this, and to keep members up-to-date, the BCDHA/CDA Alliance will host workshops to help with letter writing, share tips for engaging your network in this discussion (e.g., friends/family/clients), and keep you informed of the process.

We will announce times for the workshops very soon and look forward to your participation in this process.

We need to come together on this, and we need to work actively and efficiently towards the changes we want to see.  I’m relying on every single Registered Dental Hygienist, Dental Hygiene Practitioner, Dental Therapist and Certified Dental Assistant to step up and help us engage in this debate.

Together, our voice is strong.  NOW is the time to use it.

Andrea Burton,

CEO, BCDHA/CDA Alliance
