The QuitNow Outreach Team delivers comprehensive training to clinicians working in various fields across the province to ensure they are well-equipped to support their client’s quit journeys.\n\n\nEvent Description & Objectives\n\n\n\nThis webinar will provide information about vaping and oral health. It will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to support your clients reduce or quit vaping. The webinar will cover the following topics: \n1. What is a vape?\n2. Vaping prevalence in BC\n3. General health risks of vaping\n4. How vaping impacts oral health\n5. Nicotine addiction and the challenges of quitting\n6. Your role as a dental professional (Motivational interviewing and the 5As)\n7. How QuitNow can support your clients\n8. Pharmacotherapy\n9. The BC Smoking Cessation Program \nParticipants will participate in interactive quizzes throughout the presentation.
