Lia Moody, B.A., LL.B.
Lia Moody is a Vancouver employment lawyer and Managing Partner of Samfiru Tumarkin LLP’s Vancouver office, focusing on Labour and Employment Law in British Columbia.
She entered into the legal profession with the specific intention of pursuing a career as an employment law litigator. After fine-tuning her litigation skills at the largest insurance defence firm in Canada, Lia joined her current firm to become an expert in an area of the law that allows her to truly connect with her clients. In her practice, Lia represents both employees and employers with respect to wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, sexual harassment, human rights, as well as employment contracts and policies.
On these issues, Lia has successfully appeared before the Provincial Court of B.C., Supreme Court of British Columbia, B.C. Court of Appeal, and the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal.
Whether in the courtroom or in the office, Lia takes pride in representing her clients confidently, assertively and passionately. In her spare time, Lia enjoys travel, cooking, running, and watching her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
