The BCDHA had a great time connecting with members and dental hygienists from across the province at the 2026 Pacific Dental Conference in Vancouver last week.
Staff took time to chat and answer questions at our booth in the main foyer of the Vancouver Convention Centre, where many attendees stopped by throughout the conference to learn more about BCDHA’s work and the resources available to support dental hygienists in British Columbia.
A highlight of the conference was the BCDHA/CDHA Forum, held on Thursday afternoon.
The session provided updates on the forthcoming implementation of the Health Professions and Occupations Act, related regulations, and the BCCOHP bylaws, and what these changes will mean for practising dental hygienists in B.C.
The forum also included updates from CDHA on professional liability insurance, advocacy efforts, and national initiatives.
Members took advantage of the BCDHA Hospitality Suite in VCC West Room 223, a quiet space to relax, enjoy coffee, snacks, and a popular donut wall, and connect with colleagues away from the busy conference floor. The suite also hosted exclusive ergonomic loupe try-ons with Andau Medical, available to attendees who pre-registered for a personalized fitting. PDC is always a valuable opportunity to connect with the dental hygiene community, hear directly from members, and continue important conversations about the future of the profession.
