Meet Jennifer Kwon

BCDHA Director At-Large (2025-2028)

Jennifer is a dental hygienist with over 16 years of clinical and academic experience. She is passionate about advocating for our profession. Jennifer has completed a PhD in Craniofacial Science at the University of British Columbia, her research focusing on professionalism and professional identity formation in dentistry. This work has deepened her understanding of the systemic and educational factors that influence professional growth, leadership, and ethical practice across oral health professions.

 Throughout her career, Jennifer has seen the vital role dental hygienists play in advancing oral and overall health. She is committed to supporting our profession through initiatives that strengthen our scope of practice, enhance professional autonomy, and equip hygienists to be leaders and advocates in healthcare settings.

As a board member, she brings both frontline experience and academic insight to support the BCDHA’s mission and contribute to a future where dental hygienists are fully recognized and empowered to practice to their full potential.
