Meet Aurora Askew

Director-at-Large (2026-2029)

Aurora is a graduate of the University of Alberta Dental Hygiene program and has remained committed to lifelong learning throughout her career, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Health Sciences, and a Master of Education.

Her professional experience spans more than 40 years and includes general practice, long-term care (LTC), the Children’s Oral Health Initiative (COHI), orthodontics, periodontics, and myofunctional therapy. These diverse roles have provided her with a broad understanding of the oral health needs of individuals and communities across different stages of life.

Aurora is honoured to bring her experience, along with her commitment to professional excellence, collaboration, and advocacy, to the Board of Directors. She looks forward to contributing to the continued advancement of the profession and supporting the association and its members.
