Dental hygienists from across B.C. gathered at the River Rock Casino Resort for a full day of business, clinical learning and connection.
BCDHA welcomed current and aspiring independent practice owners to Richmond on September 26 for OWN IT! 2026, a one-day symposium designed to provide practical knowledge, skills and ideas for building and growing a successful dental hygiene practice.
The day began with Clemens Rettich, who led two sessions focused on planning and structuring a successful small business and building stronger, more productive teams.
The afternoon shifted to clinical learning, with Dr. Samson Ng presenting Oral Pathology: Lumps & Bumps and Beyond, followed by BCDHA Executive Director Leta Zaleski, who wrapped up the day with a hands-on Interim Stabilization Therapy (IST) refresher.
Throughout the day, attendees also had opportunities to connect with colleagues, share experiences and learn from others involved in independent dental hygiene practice. There were also opportunities to meet with suppliers featuring their latest products and services for dental hygiene practices.
