Call for Nominations to Serve on the Board of Directors’ Dental Hygiene Services Fee Guide Committee

Mar 17, 2025

The BCDHA Board of Directors is responsible for annually determining the fees for the BC Dental Hygiene Services Fee Guide and for making recommendations to the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association regarding changes to the list of dental hygiene service codes and definitions as needed.

To ensure the Board is fully informed prior to making these important decisions, the Board has struck a standing committee, the BCDHA Dental Hygiene Services Fee Guide Committee. This committee reports directly to the Board and is tasked with reviewing the current fee guide; considering the factors that influence and guide the fee setting process; and making recommendations to the Board regarding changes to the fees and/or the service codes and descriptions. The Board will consider the recommendations of the committee when determining the Dental Hygiene Service Fees for the following year.

The Board is currently calling for nominations from members to serve on the BCDHA Dental Hygiene Services Fee Guide Committee. Candidates must be a dental hygiene practice owner, or have experience working in a practice that is owned and operated by a dental hygienist. Committee positions are voluntary and terms are two years in length. The Board will select the committee members from the nominations received, ensuring there is diverse representation on the committee.

If you are interested in sharing your expertise regarding this important issue, please complete the nomination form here. Nominations will be accepted by the Board until April 8, 2025.
