Northern B.C. science fair participants win BCDHA-sponsored prize

Two Hudson’s Hope Elementary students are celebrating after winning the BCDHA-sponsored prize for Outstanding Project at the Northern BC Regional Science.

Finley Bucholz and Alia White, both in Grade 5, took home the prize for their project, Toothbrush vs. Plaque, which demonstrated their knowledge of oral cavities and related diseases. The pair bested more than 100 other students in Grade 4 to 9 in School Districts 59 and 60.

BCDHA has been sponsoring the oral health award for the past 10 years. It is one of many accoladtes at the Northern B.C. Regional Science Fair, which enables young people to showcase their scientific curiosity and innovation.
