BCDHA Student Grant Funding

Each year, BCDHA considers applications for funds to support dental hygiene student members in outreach activities that raise the profile of the dental hygiene profession and increase public understanding in BC. 

Students enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program in BC, leading to a diploma or degree in dental hygiene or dental sciences, are eligible to apply for a student grant. All applications must include a recommendation and signature from the DH program department head or a faculty member. 

Applications will be considered if they have both merit and a sound financial plan, aligning with the Association’s strategic goal of increasing public awareness and visibility of our profession. Projects must be student-driven, with students involved in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  

After completion of the project, the applicants provide a written report with photos that can be shared in the newsletter, social media, or the website with the professional community to celebrate the initiative!
