Event Description
This recorded webinar explored how curved left and right ultrasonic instruments can disrupt and remove biofilm in ways that surpass the capabilities of traditional straight ultrasonic instruments and hand instruments. Dani Botbyl shared practical clinical insights and demonstrated how this unique technology can become an integral part of periodontal debridement procedures.
Using live demonstrations and specialized camera setups, participants were guided through real-world adaptation techniques for curved ultrasonic inserts, including applications in furcations, concavities, and at the CEJ. The session focused on improving both clinician efficiency and patient comfort through enhanced instrumentation techniques.
Learning Objectives
- Examine the clinical benefits of curved left and right ultrasonic instruments over straight ultrasonic instruments and hand instruments.
- Discuss how incorporating curved ultrasonic instruments into periodontal debridement procedures can enhance patient comfort.
- Explain how to adapt a variety of surfaces of curved instruments in furcations, concavities and at the CEJ.
